A sleepless girl sneaks out of bed late one night to see her dad, only to discover him bent over the piano, pouring his soul into the keys.

Olive creates a new understanding of her father as she watches him play the piano late one night. Sneaking closer to get a better look, she gets caught out past her bedtime. She is worried he will be mad. But instead, he smiles, puts her in his lap, and begins to teach her how to play. As they play together, the music and piano become the foundation of their relationship. When he passes away, she sits alone at the keys playing their song as she remembers him.
It is this bond through music that she passes on to her son;
just like her Dad did for her.
